The FBI is a criminal formation. It’s main purpose is to suppress political opponents. This has always been it’s main purpose. It was formed by a Wilson era progressive homosexual who used information based blackmail to amass power. He left his homosexual mentality imprint on the agency. It has engaged in almost constant illegal activity when it deems it necessary and it cannot realistically be reformed. It must be broken up and turned over to the states.
It should be disbanded.

According to Page, he never met Trump. Page came in handy because he worked in Russia for several years at Merrill Lynch and made several trips to Russia including the summer 2016 trip to give a speech which is on YouTube. We know from Strzok/Page texts they were in a big hurry to get the Carter Page FISA request pushed through. Maybe we will have an answer soon as to why.

He had the same problem as Flynn. He initially talked to the FBI without a lawyer. He likely thought he was just doing his civic duty and ends up getting with process crimes.
I’ve seen him several times and had the same impression as you at first. However I have since concluded that his hesitancy on camera is more that he’s evasive than that he’s stupid. He’s trying to keep his cover despite all the sheet that has been dumped on him. Look at his background. Grad of Annapolis, Naval officer, speaks fluent Russian, Georgetown Masters degree, NYU MBA, PhD from the university of London. He’s not dumb. If you worked for the CIA, you might want to feign stupidity though.
It seems very odd that he would get back to the US from Moscow and immediately get embroiled in a counterintelligence operation. Then just when Brennan needs someone inside the Trump campaign he shows up inside the Trump campaign and is once again embroiled in a counter intelligence investigation.
The fact that Trump never met him doesn’t mean they weren’t hoping Trump or someone else would call him in an attempt to obstruct justice though. The call never came but they were ready for it if it had.
According to Solomon they pushed for the FISA warrant because they knew the evidence was weak and it would not be approved without the push. I suspect it was more because they were trying to get something before the election. And also possibly because they were afraid the operation would be shut down after the election.
Another possibility is that Strzok did not know Page was a plant but the higher ups did. Maybe they were not keen on tapping their own agent but ultimately decided to do it.
You might be right. The 2 hop rule would allow them spy on practically anybody in the Trump orbit. They didn’t give a flying F about Carter Page.
Graham, Rubio and Bush especially. They had hours of recorded phone conversations to blackmail them with. Trump refused to say ANYTHING over the phone (or email/texts) for his entire life, heeding his father's good advice.
I think they also monitored Ted Cruz ... who else but deep state had pictures and knowledge of said pictures, of Ted’s dad that got published in the National Enquirer?
