Not only is it not funny, but this can be used by anybody to illustrate just how little science there is behind AGW.

Bet he didn’t walk home after that appearance either.

Our hominid ancestors, with only Stone Age technology, were able to survive climate change. Why is modern man any different? Have we lost the ability to adapt? Or, are we just afraid to lose our current state of comfort? What is the optimal climate for Earth, anyway? The Ice Age climate? The tropical climate of the Mesozoic Era? Or OUR climate? Is there “settled science” on this point? It seems to me that because our preferred mode of living is possibly under threat by climate change, that we, in a feat of supreme conceit, assume that the Earth is in danger. In point of fact, the Earth will survive just fine. However, that Homo sapiens may be just another dead-end species in a long line of extinctions may just be a biological imperative. I am all in favor of reducing fossil fuel consumption, because petroleum is much more valuable as a raw material than as a fuel. That is why I have solar panels on my roof, and that is why I support nuclear power.

About 15 years ago I started saving AGW debunking articles in a gmail draft. I stopped a few years ago because there is just way too much. I just have favorite sites now like Wattsupwiththat.com.

But this guy’s youtube stuff is truly awesome:

https://www.youtube.com/user/TonyHeller1

I love where he shows old newspaper stories from almost 100 years ago about global warming, global cooling, etc., and all the evidence they had before it started getting colder, then warmer, and now colder.

The whole thing becomes comical when you read and watch the good stuff.

You mean the heat might come from that giant ball of fire in the sky and not from the carbon dioxide that makes up a staggering 1/25th of one percent of the atmosphere?

I know it sounds like crazy talk, especially with the recent revival of "flat earth" beliefs. But yes, I think it just may be possible. The "sun = hot" idea occurred to me a few years ago, after I fell asleep at the beach.

Bill Nye, the Moronic Liberal Guy... We can’t do damage to the planet, since Earth been warming since day 1. Florida was underwater, Antarctica had Palm trees. Bill Nye, before opening mouth, engage brain...

The world seems to have been in a long term warming trend since the end of the “little ice age” that ended around 1860. But within that longer term warming trend there have been cooler periods, the last of which went from the mid 1940s to the mid 1970s and caused the “cooling scare” in the mid 1970s. We are probably a little overdue for a cooling period. But given the way that those in charge of maintaining the records have fudged their “observations” and the historical records... it will probably be a few years before our “lying eyes” are officially vindicated. Weather events like the 14 inches of snow we got in mid February in the Seattle / Tacoma area will continue to be blamed on “global warming” by true believers a decade after the data indicates an unmistakable cooling trend.

Bill Nye is just as much a scientist as I am. His education claim is a bachelors in mechanical engineering from Cornell University. He’s a mouthpiece. And a poor one at that that appeals to the three year old like Fred Rogers, only not as honest.
