I've got a feeling a DC invasion visit activated to counter the dem's impeachment efforts would not be a friendly visit. Local residents would be doing a lot of sheltering-in-place. I doubt there'd be enough law enforcement to stop it.

Suggestion which takes a leaf out of Trump’s book:

Pick one day next month, don’t spend any money. Zip, zero, nada.

If that doesn’t get the message sent, the next month pick two days. Don’t spend any money. Not one danged dime.

Repeat and extend if necessary.

If you have in mind the public’s reaction to Clinton impeachment, there is one tiny difference. Which side the media is on.

With Clinton, the reaction by the media is what drove the public to seek retribution from Republicans. We can hardly expect the same this time.

With Trump, there will be no attempt from the media to drum up sympathy for Trump. There will be no attempt by the media to show the unfairness of what Dems did/are doing to Trump. The media will run 24/7 with how much Trump deserved to be removed, and the majority of Republican office holders will fear saying too much to anger the media.

Like it or not the “fake” media truly runs everything.

Trump is a different animal but I can see several Republican senators jumping ship when the media coverage is turned up.
