We've finally returned to the Monkey Age. I disagree. I would live in a tree house if zoning would allow it ( like my village ). Having slept in deer stands, a tree house would be a great upgrade.

I was curious as to what he meant as a wood roofing factory
Giving off obnoxious fumes. Found Stevenson Boulevard on Google Maps. The high end ends in a field at 7250 Stevenson Boulevard. I was surprised to see cows grazing on the side of the road. I could not find any large trees in the area.
Never did find the roofing factory.

We had a guy who lived not far from us. He’s a patriotic veteran who lived off the grid.
Nice guy to talk with. He lived in an old block shack on a few acres, The landowner called him the caretaker. His house was sided with US flags.
When the landowner decided to build apartments, he set up Eugene in an apartment. He has a small car detailing business.
I never described him as homeless, more like a productive guy living off the grid in town
