So, former police officers can’t... But felons can!

That is an interesting observation. Can a former police officer become a felon and thereby get some of his civil rights BACK?

I thought they were trying to address the problem of getting people to serve on a jury. So this is what they came up with:
1) people in jail have time on their hands
2) people in jail need to do something constructive and repay a debt to society
3) HEY!? let’s just put them on juries; after all who else is going to willingly serve for $12.50 per day (or whatever the number is)?

So you can be a defendant and also be on your own jury, perfect! The lunacy never ends

California is going into the trash on a wet Teflon slide. Did you ever hear such garbage?

If I’m a wealthy felon, how hard would it be to stack the jury pool by ‘encouraging’ other felons on the rolls to respond to jury duty.
