AOC is not attractive. If perhaps you put a bag over head maybe, but she has a face for radio.

The twitter overlords can’t wait for the day when all of the twitter adherents will be loyal followers of the extreme leftist ideals. Social media utopia with no triggering.

So now they are the GLOBAL judges of what constitutes appropriate speech.

I’ve been a big fan of the Dalai Lama for many years. He has a quirky sense of humor and often responds to journalists or others who ask him a silly question with an equally silly answer. The uproar over this remark comes from small minds not able to understand his great and wonderful mind.

The Dalai Lama has no say in criteria used for selecting his successor. Dalai Lamas are selected by the Panchen Lama when the reigning Dalai Lama dies. Panchen Lamas are selected by the Dalai Lama when the previous Panchen Lama dies. This Dalai Lama (the 14th) selected the 11th Panchen Lama in 1995 but the Red Chinese (who now control Tibet) “disappeared” him three days later and he hasn’t seen since. But the Red Chinese naturally installed their own Panchen Lama, who was not chosen (or supported) by the Dalai Lama.

So The Dalai Lama’s successor likely will be chosen by Beijing.

As I understand it, the Lama is reincarnated and has to be found (or steps forth).

Yes, which is why I continued the use of the imperfect word "chosen". As born implies to me he is Dalai Lama through inheritance meaning the child of the previous Dalai Lama. Rather than being reincarnated into a completely different family.

By the way, my understanding is that the current Dalai Lama is supposed to be the last Dalai Lama by Tibetan Buddhist prophecy/tradition. I believe he's discussed it in the past and left the door open as to whether he will reincarnate again. Technically he is a highly trained Buddha able to break the cycle of life and death and has chosen to reincarnate out of compassion to continue to teach his followers of Buddhism.
