Interesting that professional reporter Isikoff fails to mention "the day" in question. The most important part of advancing a timeline of events is to in fact list specific dates. The risk of course is that your pet theory could be blown to pieces with facts that don't fit your timeline. So if you are an agenda-driven advocate like Isikoff, and not a true journalist, you drop vague time periods and imply that it all fits your timeline.
I say all this not as an expert in the whole Seth Richard story, but as someone who had to devour the products of journalism for many years. After all that time you tend to recognize the little sleight-of-hand fakes they try to slip in to their "journalism."
When a magician taps a coin on the table, watch what he's doing with the other hand. When a biased journalist refers to a specific day, but won't list the actually date, it's probably a good idea to go look it up. My guess is that on the day in question the Internet was already full of questions about Rich's demise.
