Wow! I heard there was a heatwave in Alaska.
Good evening, Luv....the temps have started to come down today. It’s low 60s right now and they are trying to tell us it is cloudy...but I can’t see the mountains at all. And I’m coughing like crazy because of the smoke.
And without much sleep for 2 weeks, the cooler temp is sending me to ZZZZ land ever since I got home. I’m about ready to give up and at least get horizontal.

Fires everywhere...to the north and to the south, and the smoke is coming into town. It’s so smoky we cannot even see the mountains today. We even had a brush fire right here in the middle of town just before July 4th. The National Guard was called in to make water drops, and they brought an air tanker for fire retardant. I had to detour to get home. Just heard on today’s news that mop up is still going on...thankfully it was only 25 acres, but several places had to be evacuated.
It’s been upper 80s, and even a 90 or 2 for several weeks. Not very many folks have air conditioning. I’ve got fans everywhere, and even while I try to sleep, but it’s just too hot.
How about you...not too hot? Your A/C doing its job?
OK...giving up. Off to try to sleep in the cooler temps.

Did you take another drive yesterday since it was too hot for the lake?
Is there a break in the heat now or will you be under advisories a while longer?
Our high was 95 with the heat index over 100. NOT a pleasant day at all.
I think you should do that. You deserve to get some rest. I hope the smoke isn’t coming in your house too much. And I hope they get all the fires out soon. How dare they try to tell you it’s just clouds. That’s just wrong!
We did do another ride in the country yesterday. It was hot. It did cool off with storms to our East pushing an outflow boundary towards us. We will do the park at the lake later today.
That A.C. sure felt good yesterday.
It sure does sound like you got your money’s worth with the police scanner. LOL! Sounds like there was quite a bit of “excitement” at Drillers.
Nice to hear it’s cooled down enough you’ll be able to go to the park later today. Gizmo will be ready to run after missing out the last two days.
