Because it's not. I moved my office from downtown Chicago to Naperville, IL last May because I no longer felt safe there. Even with my conceal/carry (and I carried ...) knowing I was outnumbered by the feral thugs that are running loose unchecked within the city meant the odds were not in my favor, even when armed.
It used to be that there were four or five neighborhoods where all the murders and other bad crimes happened. Not so anymore. The feral thugs hop on the Red Line from the south side of the city and hang out in the financial district, loop and magnificent mile to mug and rob people then simply jump on the Red Line to head back home.
They don't stay in their own neighborhoods anymore because what good is it to rob someone who doesn't have anything? They've learned to go where the money is, just like Jesse James did...
Why hasn’t Trump made an example out of one of these cities by shutting off every federal dollar? They hate the federal government, let them get along without it. And btw, I am confident the US government has the ability to hack the Chicago computers to get whatever they need.
I don’t see why not. They have knowledge of law breakers and their location, and know the federal government seeks them out, Not cooperating should be a crime.
Till Trump is gone from office. Then we’ll have our normal American political boomerang and we’ll have an open borders POTUS.

It would be easier to just detain everybody with a Spanish accent and hold them in Soldier Field until deportation or somebody else can provide solid documentation that the spanish accenter has a right to be in this country. I don’t know why this whole deportation operation was announced. I wish nothing had been said and they just started doing the job.
