Lake Tahoe Fills To The Top
Mercury News ^ | 7/12/19 | Paul Rogers

If you visit Lake Tahoe this summer, the beaches might seem a little smaller than they were a few years ago. It’s not an optical illusion. Large sections of them really are underwater.

Studiously avoiding their routine hysteria about "climate change" and drought, the idiotic Mercury News notices that we had a 200% snow pack in the Sierras this year and their precious drought is nowhere to be found.

Thought you might enjoy.

Sweet revenge to see the clueless high school “journalists” in the Bay Area having to swallow hard and admit that all their scaremongering BS is just that.

Yup!

Gavin and Jenny are sitting at home right now going “wait a minute! That’s OUR water! You gotta pay us to use it!”

I have been skiing there a couple of times . . . extraordinarily beautiful place. I want to go back next year.

I was thinking there was an outlet for the lake water, maybe up toward Truckee. Do you know??

The California drought was caused by Man-Made Global Warming, and the Lake Tahoe overfill condition is caused by Man-Made Global Warming too.

The lake water only exits at the Truckee river. That flows down to pyramid lake. It only exits pyramid lake via evaporation.

Truckee River is the only outlet for the lake. Tahoe City is where the river starts. Can do rafting in the summer on the river. Should be real nice this summer!

"… and their precious drought is nowhere to be found."

LOL. Everyone here remembers for years the "global warmers" and Gore-bots in the media have been wagging their fingers preaching the gospel of perpetual drought. The whole American West was to become a wasteland, a desert.

In summary, California’s weather trends and longer-term cycles are exactly NORMAL.

California is still living off the natural resource management infrastructure of wise, intelligent planners from 60-70 years ago, although with 4X the population now, leftists will eventually destroy that too.

would be nice if some of that precipitation got over into the colorado basin as lake powell and lake meade could use the water.

Yer Right!

Temperature Up —> Global Warming!

Temperature Down —> Global Warming!

No Rain?

Too Much Rain?

We know the Answer! It’s always...(in chorus now)....Global Warming!

How many dams did they tear down and let snow-melt and rain run right into the Pacific?

“In summary, California’s weather trends and longer-term cycles are exactly NORMAL”

That’s EXACTLY right!!

Anyone who remembers the wet years from ‘55 - ‘65 and then the drought years from ‘76-’78 and then the wet years from ‘82 - ‘84 followed by....well, anyone with a brain gets the picture.

The planet be doin’ what it always has, and we’re just frolickin’ in the sun like we should be.

The lake is so full because of California’s record breaking, unprecedented, and catastrophic drought that was 100% caused by man-made global warming.

The only solution to this and every other problem is global socialism.

Sea level rise, lake level rise, creeks risin’. When will it stop? LOL! Yeah, looked pretty full a couple weeks ago. Guess we need to check Pyramid Lake and see what the levels look like there. The Truckee River is still pumping along pretty nicely. But, end of snow is just around the corner. Right? :-)

North end of the lake into the Truckee River and on to Pyramid Lake.
