Harris and Gabbard Not Constitutionally Qualified To Be President or VP by Attorney Larry Klayman
RenewAmerica.com ^ | 12 July 2019 | Larry Klayman

Senator Kamala Devi Harris (D-California) cannot become president unless she is a “natural born Citizen.” The U.S. Constitution contains few eligibility criteria for our nation’s highest post. But being born to the country is one of them. Since a vice president must be able to succeed to the presidency, Harris could not run as vice president, either.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 requires that only a natural born citizen can serve as president. The Constitution clearly distinguishes between a citizen and a “natural born Citizen.” There is a special case of citizen who is also natural born. An interesting but often-ignored requirement is that one must also have “been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.” The intent indicates an attempt to ensure allegiance to the United States by a strong connection. This was the result of continued loyalties to the British Crown among Tories and others after the Revolutionary War, where some politicians even suggesting the nation should return to a limited monarchy. The Framers thus wanted to eliminate “family influences” among our presidents.

Some may think of the Fourteenth Amendment. Even if we ignore the requirement that a person born in the country must be “under the jurisdiction thereof,” the Constitution clearly recognizes that not all citizens are eligible to be president.

Both of Harris’s parents were present in the United States under student visas when Harris was born in Oakland, California. They were not U.S. citizens at that time. A student visa requires a non-immigrant intent. That is, one must swear that they have no intent to stay. Harris’ parents appear to have lied. …. continue reading at: http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/klayman/190712

Harris has been hiding the facts of her ineligibility while raising $$$ for herself - even her webrite glosses this over ——anyone contributing money to her so-called “campaign” is a dupe

The GOP has its own ineligibles they want to run, some of them already have, Cruz and Rubio.
The main one is in the future, George P. Bush and likely the real reason the GOP refused to stop the Kenyanesian Usurpation.

I’m pretty sure that most, if not all, candidates get to keep whatever money is left over from contributions if/when they bow out of the race.

This is why you see the overcrowding in the beginning from those who everyone knows doesn’t have a snowballs chance in hell of winning the nomination, much less the general election.

Nobody wanted to ‘die on that hill’ either with obama, and look where it got us.

Maybe you should rethink whether or not all this is ‘gibberish’.

Candidates’ being able to use the money for their own personal use ended in 1989.

They first have to pay off all liabilities and then whatever is left can be used for future campaigns, including maintaining a staff or advisors in the meantime, or given to charity. (I imagine the Clinton Foundation benefitted in this way).

Anyone know how someone’s eligibility is contested? I presume it’s in court and I presume whoever files must have standing. Would it be done via civil lawsuit or ?

I think it is clear enough that natural born means being born a citizen as opposed to being a naturalized citizen, and being born here makes a person a citizen.

All that these speculations and attempts to redefine what the USSC has done only makes people look ignorant and racist.

Don’t we have enough problems without feeding the D troll media?

I'll die on this hill with you FRiend. Eight years of Obama and essentially open borders have shown us, many times over, how this is perhaps the most valuable hill to defend in contemporary times. America for Americans. We have no no nation, no sovereignty, without strict naturalization and limits to the influence of foreign aliens. Better to die on this hill ourselves than to be made servants to usurpers sitting upon it and driving us out.

“...Since a vice president must be able to succeed to the presidency, Harris could not run as vice president, either.”

Actually Larry, that is NOT the reason. See below, the REAL reason.

Constitution of the United States
Amendment 12, Last sentence

“But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”
