You can’t make deals with Democrats in 2019.
There is no sane basis for compromise with them,
and they can’t be trusted to live up to their end

Hopefully, Texas will have a Conservative Alternative to Scruze in six years. But my worry is that by that time, Texas will have turned blue and actually elect a Beto clone.
Now he is pandering to the left by saying Trump has only a 50/50 chance of being reelected. When was the last time a Democrat declared they only have a 50/50 chance of winning the presidency? Even if they thought it, they would not say it.
