DOJ will not prosecute Comey for leaking memos after IG referral: sources

The Justice Department has decided against prosecuting former FBI Director James Comey for leaking classified information following a referral from the department’s inspector general, sources familiar with the deliberations told Fox News.

“Everyone at the DOJ involved in the decision said it wasn’t a close call,” one official said. “They all thought this could not be prosecuted.”

Comey penned memos memorializing his interactions with President Trump in the days leading up to his firing. He then passed those documents to a friend, Columbia University Law Professor Daniel Richman, who gave them to The New York Times. Comey admitted to that arrangement during congressional testimony.

I shared the same emotions that the wall that is the two-tiered system of justice that is apparent to all has another brick of evidence in it. Then another light came on. What if the DOJ is focused on rolling Comey over his obvious lying and leaking as they seek even bigger fish? What if their target is not Comey but Clinton or Obama? Trump seems to be capable of taking the long view for his revenge and it would be consistent with his character to fulfill his promise to “lock her up” by taking this path.

Could not show intent? Let me think on that. He went through the supterfuge of using a cut out rather than recommending something so he could hide behind anominity. If that is not intent what is it, full disclosure? Everyday I hope the czar bomba lands at constitution and 12th. Only way to save the nation IMO.
