Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley (D) jabbed President Donald Trump Monday for mistakenly offering condolences to another Ohio city, Toledo, in his planned address on the two mass shootings that unfolded over the weekend.
At the end of his 10-minute speech, President Trump, reading from a teleprompter, said, “May God bless the memory of those who perished in Toledo.” The president correctly referred to Dayton during other parts of his scheduled remarks.

The man misspoke and made a mistake. What are we saying? No good Democrat would ever make such a mistake?
And considering the tragedies involved, why would Democrats say anything at all about that? How many times did Obama misspeak and nothing was said?
Are we sure he isn’t just trolling the media?
Well, at least he could go to Tony Packo’s.
I’ve said it before but I truly believe that the President is very poorly served by his people. I’ve lost track of the mistakes that were included in is prepared remarks which could have been caught by the most casual proofreading, and nobody on his staff apparently could be troubled to do so. It’s not Trump’s job to double-check his speech writers.
How petty of him. And inappropriate.
At least Trump got the correct state. Biden said “Michigan”!

Funny how dem politicians’ gaffs never make it to the headlines....
I happened to catch his speech live and heard the Toledo mistake. Big deal. Someone wrote it wrong on the teleprompter. Obviously. I think that at another time he would have caught the mistake but he wanted to say exactly what was written so he read every little word scrolling by. Plus I was confused at first about the shootings because I was traveling and was out of touch with the news.
I’ll speculate the speechwriter put Toledo in the rough draft as a placeholder, then forgot to go back and fix it.
