Good for you! I used to hate to eat out with some of my own grandkids when they were young! One of them (overprivileged, wealthy parents, nanny, maid, etc.) we took to a Perkins for brunch .He ordered pancakes. When the waitress brought them and was about to leave, he demanded in a loud voice, "you're supposed to cut them up for me and put the syrup on." 🙀

never take children to a wedding, it serves as a bad example.

YES. If you cannot control the child, whether because of brattiness ( your fault) or specials needs (not your fault) you should not subject other people to the rotten behavior. Take out food, and practice manners until they “get it”.

You missed the point entirely, Genius. I was referring to Your Parents, who obviously had at least ONE abnormal child!😂🤣😇

I don’t eat at McDonald’s or Cuck E Cheese and expect quiet conversations.
I'm 70+ and have never encountered a loud McDonalds.
On the other hand - last year I had to go to a Chuck E Cheese for a grandson's birthday.
Oy vay, my tinnitus went off the chart and I had to wear ear plugs. Incredibly loud, and yet no one complains.

It’s an Outback Steakhouse. The normal atmosphere is noisy and raucous. The family were halfway thru their meal.

The party that complained was out of line. Probably leftists with their innate tendency to want anyone different from them thrown out of restaurants. In 15 minutes the kid would have been gone.

So we see an obviously disabled little kid, and find him annoying, but so what? Can’t we extend a bit of courtesy and let it go? Diners in a casual, hectic family restaurant do not have some constitutional right to feel at ease with every stranger. They are in wrong type of restaurant is they expect a quiet meal.

Manager should have given the whiners the 20 bucks and never disrupted the family with the small boy.

In church there something like this: “suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not…”
But this was not a church it was a restaurant.
No service dogs though either. Pet dander makes me wanna puke.

When people run to the news media to publicize the mundane disappointments they encounter in life, I tend to disregard them.

I went to a restaurant a while back.
Standing, waiting for the hostess a couple with about a 13 year old daughter comes in behind me.
Brat starts screaming curse words. I turned and shouted back hey, shut the hell up.
Indignant parents said, how could you, she has tourettes I said I don’t give a damn, control your brat.
What the hell ya bringing her out here for then.
they left.

Well no, genius.

Your post:

Sure looks like you mean my kids having kids.

I understand, you're retarded and should have your computer access limited.

And stay out of public places if you are going to scream and poop yourself.

Years ago, we ran a group home for what were then called “retarded” adults. They were all well behaved, but some of them didn’t have great control over their voices, and some of them looked a little odd. We were all sitting in the back in an 8-person booth at a semi-fast food restaurant and we were asked to leave because some of the other customers didn’t like the way our table looked. This was in Western Pennsylvania.

How tolerant.
My son went to an elementary school that was a flagship for mainstreaming handicapped children into public schools. Sounds perfect. Then I had lunch with my son and realized why he couldn’t eat cafeteria food. The handicapped child that was seated directly across from him was strapped into a wheelchair and had to be spoonfed by his special needs assistant. Mashed potatoes and mashed peas drooling down his face and gutteral screams while pulling at his strapped down helmet was my son’s cafeteria experience every day.
That child had absolutely NO idea where he was and it was clear that he never would.
Tolerant?

Recently ate in Little Italy at a fabulous restaurant. A family had a child with obvious emotional difficulties (drowning out Sinatra on the speakers along with our own chatter). It’s hard not to look and hard to not get angry when the dinner bill is a lot of dollar bills under those circumstances. I have also been in that situation when we were at a quiet place and our child was screaming bloody murder. It’s a tough situation. In the former,we ate and left. In the latter,we voluntarily left the restaurant for the respect of the others. In both cases no manger was ever involved.

I notice the article is chastely silent on what the noises were actually like. If it's unearthly-screaming-like-a-banshee, the manager really has to do something, because the restaurant's job is to make a pleasant environment for everyone--it's what they pay for. Special-needs kids--it depends on the needs. Some such kids are peaceful and wonderful, just chattering happily. Some make alarming noises and are still wonderful. But those sounds, and that kid, might not belong in a restaurant that day. Try another day, maybe?

To have alarming sounds that are too loud to ignore can make people upset--which is a normal reaction. It can cause them to choke on their food. Managers don't lightly make the decision to ask people to leave (unless they're SJWs eager to evict a conservative). The lack of detail in this case leads me to heavily suspect the noises were a doozy. But let's withhold judgment till there's more info!

Please, you judgmental people who don’t have a child with special needs, what should parents who do have one do? Never go in public or into restaurants?

Amen!

For all the complainers on this thread....

IF your children are healthy, give thanks to God.

Families who have chosen not to murder (abort) their child with unique challenges should be the very ones us conservatives are championing.

IF you're complaining you're arguing like the Left does.
