Two cameras that malfunctioned outside the jail cell where financier Jeffrey Epstein died as he awaited trial on sex-trafficking charges have been sent to an FBI crime lab for examination, a law enforcement source told Reuters.
Epstein's lawyers Reid Weingarten and Martin Weinberg told U.S. District Judge Richard Berman in Manhattan on Tuesday they had doubts about the New York City chief medical examiner's conclusion that their client killed himself.

So what if the equipment was broken and the guards were sleeping?
It’s not like the billionaire perv guy was linked to any important people.
Too many big names revealed if this went to trial.
Barr is kind of having a bad day.
Maybe they should step up in quality and get the keystone kops.
two broken cameras?
Guards went to sleep.
Pure coincidence, of course.
Barr blew it. Only question about him dropping the ball on keeping Epstein alive: was it incompetence or corruption?
F’n Big Idiots.
Plus he’s 200+ pounds and can’t fight.
Maybe Barr should stop doing the same thing over and over.
Maybe Barr should stop letting the bad guys get away with everything.
Maybe Barr should prosecute someone.
Do not worry, the gnu will determine poor maintenance or some other nebulous cause for the malfunctions. Nothing to see here.
And after a detailed examination, the FBI crime lab will be able to clearly say...
1. Yes, both cameras were definitely not operating.
2. No, we can’t tell if either was tampered with.
3. That’s all we have.
Only 2? Mandalay Bay had 19 cameras go out simultaneously on Oct.1-2, 2017. What happened to the other 17 cameras in Epstein`s cell block? Inquiring minds want to know.
Oh wait, FBI scuttled the Vegas cameras - never mind.
FBI studies two broken cameras.
Well ... hot damn! FBI studies! Like for a test? Or?
If those two cameras were broken, and known to be broken prior to Epstein being placed in that cell, especially after he had recently been on suicide watch, then I’d have to say that he was placed in that cell deliberately to off him. He never should have been placed in a cell where the cameras outside had malfunctioned. Was there a central monitoring system? When did these cameras go down? Did they go down prior to his being placed there, or after? If they went down prior to, that info should have been logged in a log book that is usually kept by whoever is responsible for monitoring the cameras, and a work order submitted for those cameras to be fixed. You don’t put a high profile inmate like Epstein in a cell where there is no camera coverage...period. What has gone on is total bullshit, plain and simple.
one of the most high profile cases ever practically, and we had incompetent guards watching him, broken equipment, and ‘mistake after mistake’?
BS! This smells worse than the sewer crap the hairillary bus dumped outside the restaurant that time
The camera had been working long shifts. They were tired and fell asleep, too.
Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, flies like a duck, swims like a duck...FBI and MSM say Its a banana.
what next? We’ll prolly hear something like: The lock on his cell door was malfunctioning, allowing someone on the outside to jimmy it open easily
