This just proves that the FBI is still corrupt and biased!

If the moderates in the government wanted anyone left who believed in the impartiality of our system of justice, then don't do corrrupt things like this!

Or only naive, childlike people will say with a straight face "Our system treats all people equally."

Neither Comey nor Mueller were in an IG role. That’s the difference. Reasons to impeach do not matter here.

DOJ declines to admit they are hopelessly corrupt.

It is likely that Comey is already under grand jury indictment, or soon will be for a lot more than leaking memos.

It’s actually highly unlikely Comey is under indictment given Solomon reported today that no grand juries have been impaneled.

It would be premature and pedestrian for Barr merely to prosecute an FBI policy violation. The events surrounding Hillary’s malfeasance and the deep state’s enablement are worthy of deeper scrutiny and summary justice.

Premature? These crimes were committed 4 years ago.

In that sense you are right. In the context of unfolding processes, however, we need to hold off.

Sure thing. It seems patently obvious the “Trump” DOJ intends to “hold off” until November 4th, 2020. They’ve stonewalled and slow walked Spygate for 3 years. Another few months is chump change at that rate.

in the final minute of this Catherine Herridge report, she explains how Comey would have received the findings about him prior to publication, giving him an opportunity to respond and that his immediate tweets were him trying to get out front of this story.

I think this decision is easily misunderstood and that Comey is about to be prosecuted for lying to the FISA court. Put yourself in the position of Barr and a trial team that will have to prosecute Comey.

The case on the memos is mostly about Comey violating FBI policy in order to damage Trump. How likely is a DC jury to convict on such a claim? And how do you keep Trump from being called to testify as a surly and unwilling defense witness?

On the other hand, if Comey is tried for lying to the FISA court, even a DC jury might well convict him. The jury would likely have a substantial contingent of middle class, middle-aged and retired Black churchgoers. Such people disfavor liars -- and especially as to a defendant in law enforcement. After all, do we really want law enforcement and police to get away with lying to courts?

In addition, Trump would not be liable to be called as a witness as to Comey's lies to the FISA court. The case for the prosecution though could well feature testimony by senior federal judge Reggie Walton, who has presided over the FISA court since 1993 and a George H. W. Bush appointee.

So, for the prosecution, the smart choice is to pass on the Trump memos case but prosecute Comey (and McCabe) on charges of lying.

Long ago...many scandals ago, I stopped listening to the Hype on Fox about this or that democrat who committed a crime and will be indicted. HaHa.....not gonna happen! Until I see someone in jail you can call me wrong, but the Deep State is not going to allow real justice to take place!

I agree. The FISA thing is one areas where there clearly appears to have been prosecutable crimes. I don’t think there is one with the Comey memos. Also anyone who lied under oath or to an FBI agent should be prosecuted. McCabe as I recall did lie to an FBI agent. Why has he still not been charged?
