David Hogg: Today’s Mass Shootings Stem from America’s ‘Indigenous Mass Shootings’(T)

Friday on MSNBC’s All In, March for Our Lives co-founder David Hogg discussed what he believed was the origin of mass shootings in the United States.

Hogg said, “I think it comes down to reckoning with our history and our history of white supremacy in the United States. The fact that we live in a post-genocidal society oftentimes that was orchestrated by the United States government in that if we want to talk about mass shootings, we need to recognize the massive number of indigenous mass shootings that was conducted by the United States government. I think back to the battle of Wounded-Knee and the several hundred Native Americans, predominately men, woman, and children that were slaughtered by the United States government back in the nineteenth century. And how that is never discussed as a mass shooting. And that was wrong because those people were not armed, and we were stealing their land.”

I couldn't NOT post this. Has hoggmeister even started at havhahad yet? And already he's a genius on historical facts. WOW! Predominately men, women and children. So, what was less predominant in the slaughter? Because before whitey got here all the migratory tribes got along just fine right? Fidiots!

“When the Natchez decided to torture a captive to death, they first constructed a framework made of two poles about 10 feet long, set into the earth about five feet apart. A crosspiece was then tied between the poles about two feet above the ground and another crosspiece was tied about five feet above this, forming a square frame. The victim was tied to the foot of the frame and was fed his last meal. Everyone then assembled and the man who captured the victim uttered a death cry and struck him at the base of his neck with a war club, knocking him unconscious. He was then scalped and tied to the frame, with his wrists and ankles at the four corners of the frame, forming an X. His scalp was taken to relatives of slain Natchez, and they used it to ‘wipe tears from their eyes.’ (The now-conscious captive) was then tortured with torches of burning cane applied to various parts of his body, all this being done in the spirit of revenge. Throughout it the victim was expected to sing a death song. Sometimes the torture lasted for several days.”

If this were a new public policy and ritual, mass shootings would stop in an instant.

Got nothing to do with the dissolving of the family and complete loss of moral values. /s

And let me put it more blunt.

Probably more than a few of us here were no angels but we started with a HIGH standard to live by so when we dropped a few notches it wasn’t MURDER and CUTTING YOUR ### OFF and MARRYING MEN!

You lower the moral standards and this is what happens.

Teens and even 20 somethings are usually not gonna live to the standards set.

But if they’re set high enough, then guys drinking a little too much and maybe playing the field a little too much is the result. I know those are bad things. But we made it to adulthood and pretty good lives.

When the moral standard is “anything goes”, then guess what? Anything goes.

Including murder.

Research the Battle of Wyoming and the Sullivan Expedition, in Luzerne County, PA, during the Revolution.

Colonists had LONG memories, and just because some native wasn't an Iroquois didn't make them innocent. It was just payback.
