Having read all the posted responses to this point all I can say is ‘so, we agree’.

He looks like a doughy pussy boy who got beat up a lot in school.

Thank you. I'm trying to figure out why everyone is so worked-up over some obscure douche-nozzle "professor" with an opinion.

I'm wondering why I should give AF what Josh Chafetz says.

With people like him I am not surprised if law and commons sense has taken a leave of absence. Not to mention that it no longer should be taken for granted that a good portion of the public may not take all this crap what the left has been dishing out, sitting down for much longer. I hope and pray it doesn’t materialize, but should it happen it would not come as a surprise.

In response, POTUS should adjourn Congress. Article II, Section 3, Clause 1

[POTUS] may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper

If the House pulled this stunt, McConnell should request an adjournment, and the House would decline, that would establish a disagreement between houses regarding adjournment, and permit Trump to shut them down.

They’ve already been abusing the law with anyone associated with Trump ever. Why not go to the next step and arrest on some bogus charges? (pretty much have already!).

‘With what power would the legislative arrest anyone?’

under the contempt of Congress statute of 1857, the Congress can bring a action against an individual; however, the issue here is whether a contempt citation is in fact appropriate, and if such is found, the matter is referred to a proper US attorney’s office, who has the duty to bring the matter to a grand jury...

Let me see if I understand this. The Democrat House Caucus should empower the US Capital Police to leave Capitol Hill and arrest associates of President Trump in support of the continued impeachment inquiry.

On the side of the Democrat Caucus and the idiotic Professor from Cornell, the US Capitol Police. The Capitol Police work for the Architect of the Capitol, an administrative, non-political office. The Capitol Police is a small but effective group of security guards. I know. I was once one of them.

And on the other team, the President of the United States, served by the DOJ (US Marshalls, FBI), the DOD (Commander-in-Chief, all armed services) and all other executive branch armed forces (HSA, ICE, Border Patrol, ATF, etc.).

I wonder how this is going to turn out?

I just emailed him a note:

Josh, saw your comments today and even though I am not a member of the Administration, I am a Trump supporter so I’d thought I’d ask if you are also in favor of arresting me. Of course, being a Hobart grad on top of that would give you even more ammunition I guess.

Many years ago, my Dad, Wharton ‘53 and Columbia ‘56 (grad degree in Finance) taught me the old ditty about ‘High Above Cayuga Waters’, but until today I kind of sloughed it off (with the exception of when I talked to the Hobart Lax team before the Cornell game in West Palm a few years ago - I helped organize that event). But yes, your comments left an awful smell.

At some point the Left will realize that the ends don’t justify the means but I suspect it will take an election of epic scope to teach it. Aww heck, maybe not. Reagan won 49 states in 1984 and that didn’t get through . . .

We all be Bolsheviks now, baby, that is the left’s new mantra.

Russian soldiers who deserted the front during World War I and came to Petersburg to join the revolt had guns.

This time, the guns are on the other side.

Come and get them.

I would like to see what would happen if Trump provided them with Secret Service protection.

I didn't mean by what power, I meant with what power. I'll go out on a limb and say it isn't going to happen.

Your respect for Trump and his supporters is duly noted.

And yes, “Dwell”. Trump was never going to provide his tax returns. You actually drank that cool aide?

You poor thing.

No, you speak ignorance.

With all that is going on, this is something you though was actually indicative of what Trump is like.

He didn’t fallow through on this (and you’re butt hurt about it), and so this means to you he can’t be trusted about anything.

What a dim bulb.

Trump has followed through better than any president I’ve seen since I was 18.
