Mr. Cummings deserves to be honored with a DNC memorial bike rack.

"When the history books are written about this tumultuous era, I want them to show that I was among those in the House of Representatives who stood up to lawlessness and tyranny."

I guess I will have to disagree with him. I always though he stood in FAVOR of lawlessness and tyranny. I won’t say anything bad about the dude, but I certainly won’t say anything good about him either.

One of the prolific IRS Abuse politicians who gave orders to Lois Lerner; a "progressive" with accompanying corruption and dirty deals.

Here's God's comment on the subject:

Psalms 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, it leads only to evildoing.
Psalms 37:9 For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.
Psalms 37:10 Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; And you will look carefully for his place, and he will not be there.

Nancy suggested praying for the wrong man's health and family.

Well, bless his rickety ol’ non-functioning evil heart.

Elijah was taken to Heaven in a chariot of fire. I have a feeling THIS Elijah was taken by a chariot, TO the fire. God says He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. He did, however, make his choice, and must live with it FOREVER.

Well he did favor that.... but the image I have of the man was when he led the sit-in on the floor of Congress opposing gun rights.

"As some Saint said “You only love God as much as the person you love least.” Ouch."

________________

I may be off base here, but I think that "Saint" should have gotten out a little bit more.

;-)

ps --- I'm quite sure that my love for God is larger than that for Nancy Pelosi/Hillary Clinton/Adam Schifft/etc.

I recall (a) line off of, I believe, a McCain thread.

It went to the effect: I was raised well, to only say nice things about the dead.

McCain is dead. That’s nice.

There is a difference between love and like.

One can love a person while also detesting much about them.

..... to add:

For me it is much easier to love someone if I have good reason to like them.

I will save my love for those whom I respect, however I do respect your "love" for those you basically detest. That's peachy.

Luke 12:19-21

19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years. Take thine ease; eat, drink, and be merry.’

20 But God said unto him, ‘Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee. Then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?’

21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”

I hope that they make it to heaven, and trust by the time we get there whatever flaws in me and in them make the present situation awkward will be ironed out.

In the mean time, I’m happy to at least include them in the Our Father (if I say for give us, with the exception of XYZ our trespasses I’m in trouble) and maybe do a little more than that if prompted by grace. I hope that others do the same.

That said, it is undoubtedly easier to work with people one finds likable, though that doesn’t always remain the same. I have some experience. Going through the Big D.
