Boris Johnson Is Close To Getting Brexit Done

The alternate is a no deal exit.

It will seem worse or bad at the start, until everyone admits that some accomodation is needed, but then it will be a pure trade deal between a sovereign U.K. with no need to give up any of its sovereignty to the EU outside of the purely trade measures they agree to be ruled by a treaty agreement.

The EU is right now demanding more than just that in order to let the U.K. have a working deal with the exit. Nothing requires a deal coincide with the exit. It would be nice and it would avoid some temporary complications, but it is my view that the biggest problems would be temporary, with a good trade-only agreement to come later on, as even the EU will admit the necessity of. Right now the EU is demanding, and Boris is accepting, the pretense of a “trade” deal, that will keep U.K. sovereignty superceded in too many important ways by the EU.

Most all the reports are all about the political mechanics of getting the deal approved, and next to none of them help the sheeple understand what is actually in the deal.

Talks on a future trading relationship with the EU haven’t even begun yet. The deal under consideration is entirely about the severance terms and a temporary transitional period.
May wanted future trade talks to run concurrently with severance talks, but the EU insisted they must be sequenced, with trade not starting until severance was signed and sealed.
