Elizabeth Warren's Student Debt Relief Plan Would Punish Those Making $250,000 or More

My wife voiced something similar to what pocaliar said yesterday. She said why does not the government just pay them all off and start fresh with no loans for anyone that are government backed.

My comment to her is who do you think the government is? It is US. There is no magic fountain of money in DC. Second, I worked and so did you our way through school and with the support like living at home of our parents we owed NADA on graduation. We got degrees we have used in our various jobs. Lastly, I am not about to pay for or authorize the “government” to pay off loans for money sent off to schools to employ F..k..g left wing administrators and professors who sit on their asses most days pontificating about things while sending off teaching assistants to teach courses for useless subjects like fem studies or fag history or German beer garden polka history.

IMO, you borrowed it, you owe it. I did not and I did not benefit one iota from this fiasco so I am not paying for it. Warning to the pols, DO NOT attempt to get your grubby hands on my IRA or you will regret it. Even though we are not in the alleged “rich” class of the fake tontoess, I know damn well that once this money grab starts, it will not stop. Today it will be college loans, tomorrow reparations, the day after illegal resettlement...on and on till we, as in producers, are all living in the streets.

Nothing infuriates me more than this issue, aside from the 2A.

I came from nothing other than deadbeat parents. Worked in fast food joints and slung it all to come up with my own money for college. Took loans and paid them off soon after we were married. working on a second masters degree now . ...Have saved all our lives ...never asked for a dime. what makes someone think that society is responsible for putting them for school with NO questions asked ...obligated to PAY THEIR DEBTS??? no obligation on their part???

Freaking thieves, these people ....they can ALL GO to hell. And the root of it too is the idea that everyone should go to college, and also the damn colleges themselves who have inflated the cost of education to what is beyond even sensible. .... hey, I want an education ...so I can have a nice life ...but I don’t want to work for it ...pay my bills!! My bills are not my fault ....argggghhh!

the whole thing just needs to crash ...all of it. Country needs a RESET.

OK Lizzie SO you go to college and you make the right choices where your classes are concerned for your career, THEN you get NO relief from debt as some IDIOT who decided to take and study humanities for some such nonsense OK I GET IT!!! Way to go LIZZY!!!!

Just think of all the crap professors that never should’ve been teaching in the first place

I don’t give a damn if they do research or publish, pay them for that if that’s what they’re worth but don’t pay them to fail at teaching and a lot of them did

Costs are outrageous as is the obsession with “diversity”. Professors with thick accents are pretty much worthless as lecturers . Get people who can speak and articulate English, have a good vocabulary and are highly organized.

I don’t care what my professor looks like I just want him or her to be able to teach. yet I can’t think of a minority or female professor that was worth a damn a lot of white male professors as well

And get rid of tenure. It protects the incompetent. I had one professor who just flat out said they can’t fire me I have tenure he was terrible and everybody knew it
