Perhaps, from where you live in Arizona, that may seem to be reasonable statement. But, for those of us who happen to live in rural America -- in areas that are blessed with far more vegetation than is your domicile State -- it is an absolute crock of Schiff!

Right this moment, the intrusive Bahia grass in my 2+acre lawn is waist high -- because ethanol has destroyed my multi-K$ "riding finish mower". And, it is about to join the trash heap of multiple chain saws, limb trimmers, "push" power mowers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, lawn trimmers, rotary tillers, motorcycle, ATV, bass boat engine, Jeep, pickup, and three other vehicles -- including my wife's favorite conversion van -- that were all destroyed by ethanol!

Fortunately, my tractor runs on Diesel -- because, today, I'm mounting the "Bush Hog" on it to knock down the Bahia grass and other uncut grass on the lawn so that we won't have to wade thru it all winter. (Hate to do that, because of the damage to the lawn that will be done by the aggressive tread on the tractor's tires.)

That may be "small potatoes" to you, but to a retiree, it is a big deal when yet another piece of equipment you need is beyond repair -- just to @$$-ki$$ greedy corporate corn farmers and thieving, imbecilic "Climate Chaaaange!!!) frauds!

I lived in rural Illinois (Davis Junction) and had to keep my old Jacobsen going for 3.6 acres of land (regular grass, mostly). I was able to find a supplier for ethanol-free, and used that. I have also owned daily drivers from the '60s and '70s that wanted lead and didn't take well to Ethanol. And yes, damage to small engines is small potatoes compared to the Democrat/RINO agenda. Ted Cruz, who I had supported, campaigned in Iowa on dumping Ethanol, and he is also pushing to make birth control pills over the counter, and easily available to any child with out a doctor's, much less parent's, knowledge or permission. By comparison, my small engines, old cars and misuse of food by burning it is small potatoes, wherever I live.

Labeling on E15 and E85 pumps specifically warn against use in "older" vehicles.

I have felt for a long time that all states should have their primaries at the same time. Certain candidates are given unfair advantages if they do well in the primaries of the “early” states. A candidate could easily become discouraged if he doesn’t do well in the early primaries. Not sure if something on this order could be enforced or not, but to me, it would improve the election process.

No, as I was simply pointing out that some things are more important than our engines. I gave an example where I man I once regarded as a trustworthy conservative took the wrong side on a crucial issue.

You can compare apples to dirty socks if you want to make the point that supporting the free an open exchange of apples is more important than restricting the sale of dirty socks.

The problem with simultaneous primaries, is they'll be so scattered. What should happen, first off, is the Gov shouldn't be involved. Parties should run their own primaries, they should be closed, and order of voting is by state ranking. States are ranked based on how Repub the state is - Gov, CongressCritters, state reps, % voting Repub in the last Pres race, etc. That way, your primaries start with the most party-friendly states, not the more liberal / corn states every time.
