I would dearly love to see several major new networks- give the conservatives a fighting chance since most msm is liberal now-

But that won’t stop them from pandering to the left- ‘fair and balanced’? Seriously? Since when is any news network fair and balanced? I want a HEAVILY SLANTED conservative news network we conservatives can call our own and give the left the raspberry through- all the liberal media is heavily slanted- let the left whine about ‘unfair’ let them whine about ‘bias’, who cares what flaming hypocrites think anyways?

We need a news station for conservatives- one that doesn’t give a flying fig about pandering to the left, and one (or several for that matter) that will NOT tuck tail and run or apologize when the left begin their incessant foot stomping

It’s likely because of contract breakdown- she mighta felt she was worth more- and fox didn’t want to pay- that’s what happened with megan kelly- she felt she was worth north of $20 million since males like hannity and oreilly etc were raking that in- so she left when fox didn’t meet the demands from what earlier reports on her said-

I don’t know if that’s the reason, but it’s a likely scenario- Katherine should have been paid well- she was a very hard working reporter- perhaps others like john roberts were making more than her and she didn’t like it? Who knows- not sure we’ll ever know the real reason-

Herridge’s move is said to have been in the works for several weeks, and is not tied to Smith’s exit. Her contract with Fox News lapsed this summer, and the network had been negotiating to get her to stay, according to a person familiar with the matter. She has not been known for jousting with the opinion programs, making frequent appearances on Fox News’ most-watched program, “Hannity.” The opportunity to move to CBS News was seen as one she could not turn down, this person said.

Veteran national security journalist Catherine Herridge joins CBS News from Fox News

Herridge will be a CBS News senior investigative correspondent based in Washington, D.C., and will begin her new role in November.

Correspondent Catherine Herridge and Husband JD Hayes' Married Life: See their family Relationship

A popular correspondent for the Fox News Channel Catherine Herridge has been entertaining her viewers since 1996. She is very passionate and hardworking person who loves her job and has also earned several achievements.

Besides this, she is also a happily married woman. Her husband JD Hayes, who is an Air Force Lt. Col has always been a huge support in her life. The couple also has two children together and is living a blissful married life together.

The two of them has been blessed with two children a son Peter Herridge and a daughter Jamie Herridge. Everything was perfect for them until they found out that their son was battling cancer.

Though she is an honest and talented employee of the network in 2007 she had legal disputes with Fox news regarding salary and benefits.

She filed a complaint with the EEOC against the network as they were discriminating their employee. The network was paying a comparatively less salary to the women and the black correspondents.

According to U.S. District Judge Richard Leon's Aug. 25, 2011, summary judgment opinion (read here), Herridge couldn't prove financial injury to establish that a "materially adverse action" had occurred that would have the effect of dissuading a reasonable employee from engaging in a protected activity. Moreover, the judge ruled that emotional distress in contract negotiations wasn't legally sufficient to constitute a materially adverse action either.

Her net worth is estimated to be $10 million as of 2017.
