The anonymous whistleblower at the center of the House’s impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump is allegedly soliciting illicit donations through a GoFundMe account, according to a complaint filed with the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG).

The complaint claims that the whistleblower, who reportedly works at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), violated federal law by collecting over a quarter of a million dollars from largely anonymous sources. Fox News first reported on the complaint, which was filed last week.

Federal law prevents government employees from soliciting donations “given because of the employee’s official position” or donations from “prohibited sources,” meaning individuals who may have been substantially affected by the employee’s performance or agency.

Sounds like payola. Reminds me of the Kavanaugh “whistleblower”.

If your whistleblow comes with a GoFundme link I'll assume it's BS.

The Clintons bribed people to lie under oath and the whole damn country thinks that the only crime ever committed was perjury

“No Controlling legal authority”

Seriously, that’s what will likely happen to Ciarmello...nothing. The best the ICIG can do is recommend punishment. Will the DOJ pursue and prosecute? Not likely. Doing so would make it appear that the Trump Administration was exacting revenge on a whistleblower.

Yep, the new rule is that no democrat can be investigated or punished if a republican is president.

It's definitely. Here is the link to his GoFundMe page. Of course, nothing will happen to him because he's a Dem party loyalist.

If my memory serves me correctly, Ford received ~$1M. Somebody setup a go fund me for Kavanaugh, which he declined because he is federal judge.

If he identifies himself in the solicitation, I don’t think he is entitled to anonymity anymore, if he ever was.

Ehhhhh, just one question, Chief. If nobody knows his or her name, how are we supposed to know which gofundme account to donate to?
