It’s a basic American value that everybody deserves their day in court.
Dems are not going to win this one in the court of public opinion.
Be careful what you wish for. There are far too many spineless GOP members of the Senate.
I’m not sure he should say this. I have a feeling there are several useless Pubbies in the Senate who would love to shiv him if given the chance.

My guess is the Dems WILL impeach regardless of the weak evidence for two reasons:
1) They have been inkling to do this since after the elections.
2) They need to satisfy their rabid anti-Trump base.
It will die a quick death when it reaches the Senate.
He will have an 80 percent approval rating if this goes to the senate and they call witnesses and then kill the whole thing.
Though from what I understand, the Ds have to approve of the witness even though they are the minority?
And 80 percent was just kidding.
I believe fully 35 to 40 percent of the country will NEVER back Trump, no matter what.
But I’ll take 60 percent for Trump and be QUITE happy.

Sure, but you need over 10 to remove.
I can count only Romney and Murkowski who would possible ( note the word) turn tail. I’m not even sure I can count Susan Collins in the group.
People have said for years on this ver site that the Repubs have to grow a spine.
POTUS is showing them what that means, and giving the Dims a lesson on bare knuckle fighting.
He is just calling out where this circus is going.

Calling it a Brair patch strategy is probably not how trump looks at it. He typically doesn’t just bluff. It’s more like a win-win in his eyes. IE: If we get to the Senate, he can go on the offensive. If we don’t, he survives another coup by default and can use it as campaign material

Spineless or compromised. How many votes to convict can be obtained through the contents of Deep State intelligence files or oceans of money to do what the anti=Ameroicans and the Chinese want?
The truth of the matter is that the Commies have had a burning desire to impeach every Republican President since Eisenhower. No exceptions.
Their spinelessness will only work in Trump’s favor.

Exactly. Fighting back against the left was always going to be messy and laborious, but this is what it looks like, and yet we still have some of the same pearl clutchers who worry with each salvo the president launches back at the enemy.
And just like that the dems will quietly never allow the impeachment to go to a vote.
If they let this go to the senate all the liars will be called in to testify and then sent to the DOJ for perjury charges.
