(Titans had been orig nickname
for NY Jets tho)

Houston Oilers made sense in Houston with the oil business. But the nickname didn’t make sense in Tennessee.

This jogs my memory also, that in baseball, the Washington Senators became the Texas Rangers. And the original Washington Senators franchise, became the Minnesota Twins. Both adopted nicknames appropriate for their new locations.
There is story out of Raliegh. NC Huricans that he kicked a guy in practice and punched a guy in the back of the head when the player was on the bench during the game.
But, they gave him a 2 year contract extension after that.

Hockey is the game of “White, Rednecks” now in Canada. Basketball is now the preferred game in Canada, at least with the elite.

Heh, as a former Canadian from Vancouver, hockey is still king. It wont change. The Toronto demographic however, is changing the landscape there.
I’ll be going back in Christmas and I assure you, nothing will change. The sports nets will 80% report on hockey first before any sport. Try visiting Canada once for a few days and you’ll notice it once you turn on the TV..hockey wall to wall until you puke.

Sherman wanted the war to end rather than drag on. Making Georgia squeal and depriving the Confederacy of what GA contributed to its war effort helped do it. But I do understand why there are no statues of him in the state.
