Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano struck out at President Donald Trumps decision to not send lawyers to an upcoming impeachment hearing, calling the move very unwise.
I am curious what you make of the fact that the president might want to skip out on this Judiciary Committee opening hearing and maybe others to follow, because it is essentially a Kangaroo court or its not fair, Neil Cavuto said on Your World Monday.
The rules about which the president are complaining were written by a Republican House of Representatives in 2015. The president would be very unwise not to send lawyers there, Napolitano responded.
The Democrats are not doing anything that the Democrats did not do to Nixon or the Republicans didnt do the Bill Clinton. But I think he makes a mistake when he refuses to participate. It is a valid vote by the House of Representatives that authorized this, he continued. He also loses the argument that its unfair if he doesnt take the opportunity to participate himself.
Napolitano again defended his belief that Trumps actions have merited impeachment.
In my view, it is clearly impeachable because it involves two potential crimes, Napolitano said. The crime of bribery
which is defined as the failure to do an official act, release the $391 million, until a favor comes your way: not conduct an investigation, announce the existence of an investigation of Joe Biden. The other crime is asking for campaign aide from a foreign national. Thats a crime in and of itself, just asking.
With Shep gone, I guess someone has to fill the void.
Anything from that jerk Napolitano shouldn’t be considered as news.
Judge Nap’s Shep Smith strategy is more unwise!
There was no quid pro quo or bribery. The second offense isnt illegal but it may not be ethical.
Take them together, Democrats have nothing that rises to the level of an impeachable offense.
Whether Napolitano likes it or not.
If Trump did send a lawyer, the bottom of the class at any law school would be smarter than Napolitano.
You lose Andy.
Putting your 110 IQ vs 157 is a joke.
The President is not going to entertain this freak show.
Hes nuttier than a squirrel living in a Pecan Plantation.
About five years ago, it became clear to me he would make up shtt on the spot.
He shows up and spouts. There is no legal rhyme or reason behind his pontifications.
That’s one way to stand out on Fox News. I’m still waiting for the mass resignations at the FBI.
i can’t think of anything worse than lending the awful Democrappic “impreachment” circus any credibility whatsoever
its positively the worst pile of BS I’ve ever seen in American politics (and that’s saying a whole lot, alas!)
leave it alone to die of its own lies (and inanity)
The Nixon hearings were bipartisan. So where the Clinton hearings.
Napolitano is dumber than a bunch of rocks when he doesnt grasp this heating is solely to Democrat partisan benefit.
Maybe thats why he hasnt read the GOP minority report tonight.
The guy was a traffic court judge. Nothing to see here.
Translation: Trumps strategy is most wise and his position quite strong, which is disconcerting to Fudge Nappy and his enabler Neil Cavuto.
He obviously didnt read the 5-page letter the Presidents counsel sent to the Waddler.
The guy really puts the anal in analyst.
Napolitanos argument is basically Trumps lawyers should lend credibility and legitimacy to a sham process intended to indict the President while depriving him of due process and the basic presumption of innocence.
If it was Napolitano himself under the gun, you can bet your tuchis he wouldnt send HIS own lawyers there.
Nappy couldn’t clerk for Wapner.
Nappy is stuck on stupid...
Nap is a rabid anti-Trumper.
The house is going to debate weather the “crimes” Trump committed are impeachable. They have already made up their minds, and there is no argument Trump could possibly make to influence the outcome. He is wise to let them embarrass themselves without giving any hint of legitimacy to their circus hearing.
