I was wondering when someone would get around to this. When is the feral gubment guilty of Foreign Corrupt Practices violations? That is the giving of money as inducement to do something that would not otherwise normally be done by a foreign gubment official.

For social development monies to be granted as part of the mineral lease terms in a given country we had a full time legal and investigatory team charged with making sure that the money went to the right places and that did not even concern inducements. And still companies got charged with FCPA violations.
