Whistleblower's team preparing for possibility of Senate testimony

Washington (CNN)The legal team for the whistleblower whose account kicked off the impeachment inquiry is preparing for the possibility that lawmakers will call their client to testify in the Senate, two people familiar told CNN.

(snip) ---

The White House counsel's office remains in discussion with Republican senators about the length and scope of President Donald Trump's likely Senate impeachment trial. But the whistleblower's lawyers are preparing for all possibilities, including receiving a subpoena for testimony as allies of the President continue their demands to hear from the anonymous person who ignited the Ukraine controversy.

A subpoena would put the whistleblower in uncharted territory, and raise the risk that his or her identity could come out in the course of the trial in the Senate -- where, unlike in the Democrat-led House, some Republicans have expressed a desire to hear from the whistleblower.

Three "writers" put their names on this BS.

"..... two people familiar told CNN." Gee, I wonder which one wrote that.

Maybe the rat whistleblower can come in like this:

By that I assume, it means they are getting all their lies together, so they all tell the same set of lies, at the same time. 😁

How do we (or anyone)know who this alleged whistle blower is? As far as I know, NOBODY is allowed to say the name out loud let alone tie the info to any one person.

Where did cnn get this info from?

The Kavanaugh hearings demonstrated that Leftist witnesses can lie with impunity.

Senate must use its power to compel honest testimony and punish perjury.

I believe Eric Ciaramella is a GS-13. His salary is probably just slightly above $100,000. People like that do not have "legal teams".

Associates of the president have been ruined by the legal cost of defending themselves. This guy? Why do I get the feeling that he will have a full legal team of brilliant lawyers and never have to pay for any of their time? Why does it always seem to work like that?

First question to the lawyer: Who is paying you?

Remember, the Democrats did away with lawyer/client confidentiality.

It sounds like the anonymous whistleblower is making press releases. At some point I think you waive your eleventeenth amendment right to anonymity.

“A subpoena would put the whistleblower in uncharted territory, and raise the risk that his or her identity could come out in the course of the trial in the Senate — where, unlike in the Democrat-led House, some Republicans have expressed a desire to hear from the whistleblower.”

The whistle blower is not guaranteed anonymity according to whistle blower laws. The whistle blower is guaranteed that there will be no reprisals. Just name the whistle blower, drive CNN and MSNBC crazy for a news cycle and be done with it.

Assuming the whistleblower is not Adam Schiff himself.

Senate needs to get these people on the carpet, in particular Schiff.

Allowing them to escape to continue their Trump harassment is not good government.

Schiff will be holding hearings for the next five years.

The whistle blower does NOT have an absolute right to be anonymous. And since he/she was the catalyist to impeach the President of the United States, the wb should be known.
