The thing about Turtle is that when he’s playing on your team, he is a great asset.
The guy is as cunning and crafty as they come.
I doubt that anyone knows the inner workings of DC, including K Street better.
While dems have been obsessed with exploding cigars, Turtle has quietly shoved conservative judges through.

He is well aware that his future is intimately bound with President Trump’s.
He’s also a powerhouse in DC.
If he wants President Trump absolved of make believe non charges, so it shall be.

At first, Trump thought he was in charge of the Senate and that McConnell had to obey him. McConnel set him straight, that the Senate is not below the WH and that the President doesn’t order around the Senate Majority Leader.
This happened early on and Trump learned.

Clyburn said he is willing to hold the articles “As long as it takes. Even if — if he doesn’t come around to committing to a fair trial, keep those articles here. So, keep it as long as it takes.”
Co-host John Berman then asked, “Are you suggesting it’s possible you will never transmit the articles of impeachment?”
Clyburn responded, “If it were me, yes, that’s what I’m saying. I have no idea what the speaker will do.”
