WASHINGTON (AP) — The top Senate Republican is denouncing the “unfair” House impeachment of President Donald Trump and reassuring Trump and his supporters that “moments like this are why the United States Senate exists.”
Sen. Mitch McConnell, in remarks prepared for a Thursday floor speech, accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of being afraid to send “their shoddy work product to the Senate” after she threw uncertainty into the impeachment process by refusing to say when she would send two impeachment articles to the Senate for a trial.

Until the articles are sent to the Senate, the process in the House is not complete. Trump has not been impeached.
Don’t be so quick. He is now admitting that the House can set the timetable for the SENATE.
The proper response would be “We are scheduling a vote on changing Senate procedure for impeachment in which the VOTE of the House, and not the actual transmission, constitutes the initiation of the Senate’s role.”
Unless he does this, Botoxic is in charge.
And McConnell and the GOP are too afraid to do anything about it.
Is he, or is he not “impeached”?
If he is, then it’s out of the hands of the House. Deliverying the articles is a vacuous formality.
If he is not, then he is not.

McConnell and the GOP leadership need to shout that from the rooftops every day, until Pelosi is goaded into delivery. No delivery, no “asterisk”. That seems to be important to them.
IMO, Pelosi will hold the articles back in a gamble that she’ll flip the Senate in November, then, even should DJT prevail, he’ll be tossed out by a Democrat majority.
I’m confused about that as well. If they just vote, but don’t send the articles to the Senate, was he impeached or not?
Pelosi just said she would not send over articles until the senate set the rules of how they were going to run the trial by. Tell her to stick her articles. We don’t have any thing to consider other that a bunce of lip which Pelosi has been delivering to people in Washington since she started with JFK service.
McConnell gave a speech that was really pretty amazing. He was a statesman.
We will see where this goes.....
The stains left on the black dresses of Pelosi’s goon squad aren’t going to come out. Hopefully, black people will become outraged and “triggered” for Pelosi demanding that they wear black dresses to do their dirty deed.

She’s not setting a timetable for anything. Mitch is saying “Whatever. Get back to us when you’re serious. On to other business.”
Exactly what he should do. He’s not giving oxygen and energy to their narrative.
That indeed may be her thinking.
There are rules from Bubba’s trial. No reason they can’t be the same. And Pelosi would have voted on them.

Flipping the Senate to Dem won’t matter. You need two-thirds, not a majority.
