If the Dems want to keep the bleeding going well into 2020, the GOP should stay out of their way and let them.
If you need to impeach the president then impeach him don’t say we impeached him but we think will hold on to it until democrats take over the senate some day.

The senate isn’t going to accept these illegitimate and unacceptable articles of Impeachment. He said as much this morning.
McConnell could have said that they won’t accept the articles or under what conditions he would. He didn’t. Now why could that be? Because he plans on accepting them. But only after allowing the Dems to gaslight in the media on process for weeks.
It’s obstruction of Congress. She has no power to prevent the transmission of the articles.

If Nadless can delay the application of normal House rules when it suits him, why doesn’t McConnell just change the Senate rules and go ahead and dismiss the charges in advance of receiving them?
Just “deem” them as received, vote and be done with it.
That is what Mitch is signalling will happen when these articles come over to the Senate.
What is she going to do, take the unprecedented step of passing articles and not walking them over?
The House has the sole power to impeach. She made sure we all knew that.
The Senate has the sole power to try. She is stepping out of her lane if she plays judge or appeals court. She's stepping on the Senate's toes.

Not sending to the House is a win for the good guys. Pelosi can play all the games she wants and drag this out. She is going to lose the House in 2020 and that will end this anyways. Also, by playing keep-away, the Dems get what they need most, time to manuever and shape the battlefield.

Whom ever did believe that there would be a conviction? With Pence becoming President and just enough time to win the next election? Pence would gather all the Rep revenge votes and all the Independents’ sympathy votes.

I agree with you. I wish he'd come out and said "We, the Senate, will take up the articles of impeachment that the House has already vote on. We don't need Speaker Pelosi to 'send' them to us. The House's participation in this is done"
Isn’t there at least one witness who’s testimony remains a secret because it exculpates Trump? Then of course there is the fake whistleblower. Perhaps Nancy just wants to know if these two will be called. If Mitch announces they will, Nancy will hold the articles of impeachment forever.
