Impeachment is a “House only” thing. The trial of articles of impeachment (already settled in the House) are a Senate thing.

I wish he had been two jumps ahead of her and announced that he would deliver the SOTU on paper and would not appear on Capitol Hill. Nothing says he is required to give it in person. DARN - his people should have been more on the ball to prevent her from getting the upper hand on that! I’ve been proposing it for a couple of months but apparently they failed to get the word.
OR he could appear, arrive at the podium and refuse to speak until she was removed....just turn around and walk out!
