I met the officer that was sent to find Ceausescu. We conducted the first Nato exercise with Romania in 2005.
Virginia Prodan lives here in North Texas.

There is no except to be found anywhere in your post which bears relevance to my post.

Yes Allende was about to implement a Marxist regime.

My point was and is that Pinochet should have moved against Allende earlier, should have moved through the fight quicker, and he left far too many Communists and their sympathizers alive and thus here Chile is once again where it is now.

If war happens now it needs to be made to be more thorough even if there is collateral damage and even if some of that collateral damage is one’s own family. Or pastor. Or lover.

Certainly we have people who intend to make that so.

I have a friend who grew up in Ceausescu's Romania. He tells stories of having to pick through the spoiled meat in the grocery store looking for something that "wasn't quite so spoiled". Guards with automatic weapons stood on every street corner, and what little business that took place was barter through the black market (you leave roof shingles beside the street at night and pick up crates of wine the next morning).

Not a very pleasant life.

Barter is the most primitive kind of capitalism.

Many young communists claim they are going to put an end to capitalism, which they claim is a recent invention by greedy rich people. The reality is quite different. Capitalism is a major driving force behind the development of civilization, of mathematics, language, writing, logistics, transportation, etc. Communism is an unworkable mess of bizarre idealism, contrary to human psychology and internally illogical and unworkable.

We see every one of these lessons playing out today.

It is not surprising, since Soviets sent moles into the US starting in the 1950s to indoctrinate key members of influential sectors in communist ideology. The effort took a long time, but its fruits are quickly ripening. Most of our media, universities, and entertainment industry, along with the DemocRAT party have been subverted.

It’s going to take a while to root out the corruption.

“ Communism was the biggest population thinner of the twentieth century.”

That would be bitter-sweet, if it were even close to being true. Worldwide, the truth is, mothers killed more people in just the last half of the 20th century than all of the world’s wars, revolutions and health epidemics through all of recorded history combined. They continue, unabated at a rate of 1.3 per second and climbing. With OTC pills, we’ll lose count, too. Oh how convenient.

But hey, what’s a billion innocent lives among friends, eh. 1.56 Billion killed just since 1980. Kind of makes Mao Tzsetung’s 50 million pale in comparison. Although, 23 million are slaughtered every year in China some forced and some not, of course.

Of course, it’s the same atheistic thought, the value of human life under communism and under legalized abortion.

You’re familiar with the flag burner guy who won the Supreme Court case? He’s still around, & was instrumental in stirring up trouble in Ferguson.
It was his group.
