Been hearing about the Stabbing in New York all day.
Was listening to the radio for the last three hours. No mention of the Church shooting at all.
So the shooter doesn’t fit the profile.
Using proper hold technique and shot placement.
Will buy him a beverage of his choice if I ever have the chance.
This article says the gunman killed a member of the church’s security team, and another security team member shot and killed the gunman.

The two threads about this are making me smile.
The hugh majority of posts are about the church, the defender and the enemedia ignoring this story.
Very few posts about the criminal: Perforated Palpatine.
Oh, eventually the focus will get to the piece of used food that the good guy dropped. But for now, FReepers are making the idea of an armed population look promising.

Wondering if the bad guy knew the service was on live TV....and if this was done weekly or a one time broadcast.

Very interesting. The defender on the left reacts nearly instantly. If you continue to view the video, it appears that at least three additional armed guardians move into the scene to cover the perp while the defender stands over the perp to ensure he’s neutralized.
I suspect the killer sat at the edge of the pew to access his shotgun. I’d throw in that he was suspected or being watched by the security detail. Looks like open carry by the security, perhaps via the larger belt on waist.

The video is telling ....I saw at least 4 armed guys....a couple coming down the center aisle armed....and those where he’s at.
There’s more to this story of course but i find it interesting the shooter leaned over and said something to the guy he pulled his gun on and shot first. Also why was he sitting with those who were handling the communion plates?
Questions for sure.
Fast reaction by the man on the left. Steady hand and accurate at 30’ (?). Prayers for the defenders and congregation.
Very sad but that could have been much worse.
I note that tolerating that kind of attire in the church was probably a bad decision on their part.
