Ah, yes, and so much more peace and contentment I think. I love nice parties but I also love my rest. Better balance these days as I get older in age (but younger in spirit)...

Yeah years ago it would have bothered me not being somewhere partying last night but I was fine with it.
Have many memories of good New Years Eves.

I have family members in florida who are always upset over the booms and fireworks. Scared something might land on their roof and set their house on fire....and can’t stand the booms. They forget they were young once!

Well I’m a homebody anyway so mellow is a good thing! Been to a few parties over the years but they’re pretty much all the same, though fun.
I go on line and see videos of New Years Around the world...fun to see!

That’s what’s been said at every front....we’re so fortunate to have had the changes this past year, now all we need is another 4 years of Trump!
Oh those of us who travel alone are often envied you know. Holidays can be well celebrated once one has learned how to enjoy their own company. I actually began doing so by getting fun food and planning my own spread to enjoy a festive Occassions.
And yes we all made changes...the best of all was when we “Deplorables” marched to the beating drum of freedom all the way to voting booth for Trump and changed history that very day!

I was talking about ideological isolation. This site helps reconfirm our belief in freedom and responsibly. But, you are absolutely correct. If we can’t learn to enjoy our own company, we can’t be any good alone or with others. May you have a blessed New Year.
