The U.S. military is pouring troops into the Middle East as it prepares to deal with fallout from the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. Soleimani was killed by U.S. forces on January 3, 2020. Iran and Iranian-backed militias throughout the region have promised revenge for the attack on one of Iran’s most senior military figures. In response, the Pentagon is flowing ground, air, and sea forces into the area, including Army Rangers and Super Hornet strike fighters.
The buildup actually began on December 31, 2019, when protests organized by Iranian-backed militias threatened the U.S. embassy in Baghdad. U.S. Central Command deployed Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Forces Crisis Response—Central Command (SPMAGTF CR-CC), a company of approximately 100 Marines and MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft designed to provide a quick reaction force for U.S. forces and facilities throughout the region.

I would suspect that if the Pentagon is releasing it, there’s a lot they aren’t releasing.
Perhaps this is a distraction so they can blindside them.

Nixon told of a conversation he had with the Soviet leader at the time over Israel (Brezhniv??). Nixon said it was important to have close ties with one’s enemies - and that they knew you.
Anyway - Brezhniv(?) had moved a bunch of Soviet troops near the border of Israel, and told Nixon that the only way to counter it was to move a bunch of our troops into the region.
Nixon said something like “That would just be stupid. Two soldiers from opposite sides could make a mistake and cause WW III.”
“I told him - no, we will not be sending troops. But mark my word, the instant that your troops do anything - we will respond with ALL available means to stop you. They pulled back a week later. He knew me. And that I wasn’t bluffing. Peace through strength is a very real thing. But our relationship was even more important.”
I think that President Trump’s recent actions send a similar message.
The idea is you do this so you AREN’T there for “another 40 years.” The option is likely “another 40 years.”
But I have absolutely NO problem with stationing troops overseas if a) the host country pays; b) there is no fighting; and c) the guys get to see some nice sights.

The religious leaders are pushing the military to do something. The military leaders are thinking “We have some really nice stuff that could be used to intimidate our neighbors. We don’t want to lose that. Let’s just hope a Democrats gets in the WH and then we will strike”

Iran is NOT a threat to the US. The deep state on the other hand is working against America's interest 24/7. Iran's actions against the US has primarily been fueled AND FUNDED by the deep state actors who IMO are the force at work behind the scenes now. The enemy is RIGHT HERE and they are doing their evil deeds by proxy using pawns like iran. Impeachment is not working so the deep state is trying to bait Trump into a military conflict which goes directly against one of his main campaign promises. The deep state knows if they can bait Trump into sending in troops in large numbers and using significant military action they will have a real campaign issue in which they can use against him. If we get into this too deep it WILL make Trump a one term President.
It’s your contention that US forces have been attacked and killed by proxies of our own government. This includes hundreds killed and thousands wounded during the Iraq war by IED.
And that military leadership must be complicit in order to keep the secret.

No, you are believing the BS that iran was doing all the damage in the IRAQ war and that the source of all global terror is iran. The war was not in iran and we weren't fighting iranians. It's all BS and no iran was not behind 9/11 either. The deep state is using iran as the boogey man cause they are the only believable threat. The deep state needs a military conflict so they can blame it on Trump and defeat him in 2020. Simple as that.
