I’m guessing that’s because he knows they wouldn’t keep their end of the bargain anyways.
Also, we have nothing to lose if they don’t, and nothing to gain if they do.
They have everything.
So if they choose to not come to the table and negotiate, it’s not going to change a thing for us.

He is very good at this and his bluster disguises a subtlety and mastery of the both direct and indirect approaches that leaves one in awe. He can out nuance the Obama clowns any day of the week but his true talent is cutting through “ subtle and nuanced” problems like Alexander the Great cut through the Gordian Knot to solve long standing problems deemed insolvable by the self professed, so called “ experts”
He is not subtle when it is time to stop being subtle . The same can be said about an American aircraft carrier or missile submarine.
Most importantly, President Trump has an instinct to realize at what level a problem needs to be solved at and he is capable of working problems at levels most people do not even realize exist

Best part is that part of his diplomacy involves driving leftards and the MSM nuts so they run around shrieking that he’s starting WW III, and the adversary, in this case Iran, tailors their message to appeal to the leftards, and Trump makes it clear he doesn’t care, it’s him they have to deal with, and he won’t be nice. It worked with Korea, China, Mexico and now Iran. Classic good cop/bad cop, with the additional benefit that “good cop” is unaware that he’s being played for a sucker. Benefit is ours, because it’s funny as hell to watch. Ilhan got PTSD:E) Priceless.
He’s what a diplomat should be - the “Tact/nuance” crap saves feelings of immature adults and makes the diplomats think highly of themselves, but plain-speak is always best.
