Britain, France and Germany ratcheted up pressure on Iran Tuesday to cease its violations of a landmark nuclear deal, stressing that they want to resolve differences through talks while starting the clock on a process that could result in a so-called “snapback” of United Nations sanctions.
The three countries, which signed the international agreement in 2015 along with the United States, Russia and China, said in a letter to the European Union’s foreign policy chief that they had no choice but to trigger the deal’s “dispute mechanism,” given Iran’s ongoing transgressions.
The three said they rejected Tehran’s argument that Iran was justified in violating the deal because the United States broke the agreement by pulling out unilaterally in 2018.
“We have therefore been left with no choice, given Iran’s actions, but to register today our concerns that Iran is not meeting its commitments,” the countries said in a joint statement. …

The United States did not sign the nuclear deal. Only Obama did personally—lacking legal authority to do so since he did not get the consent of the Senate.

I wonder how much influence the USA had in triggering this? A lot, I suspect.
Quite a reversal after the euro-weenies spent the entire last year building INSTEX to bypass our sanctions. Of course, the chances that they follow through are 50/50 at best, but it will put some pressure on the Mullahs.
They would rather turn a blind eye to Iran then be perceived as standing with Trump bank it.

What wilolo the Euroweenies do? I’ll tell you exactly what they will do. After several months of meetings among the “powers” they will send Iran (with a copy to the UN AG) a VERY sternly worded objection to the treaty violations.
Not only that but there will be a copy put in Irans PERMANENT FILE and it will follow them wherever they go...or something.
Yeah, that’ll stop ‘em...
And let’s not forget, Iran may also be put on double secret probation, that will show them.

I thought our feckless allies were going to abandon us on Iran because of Trump’s “reckless assassination” of Soleimani according to the MSM narrative. Not only did he get rid of Iran’s leading terrorist but more incredibly he implanted a spine in our European allies when they restarted their nuke program.
Iran has nothing to fear from the EU. They’ve proven their cupidity and venality.
