39 prosecutors blast Attorney General Barr for ‘dangerous and failed’ approach to criminal justice
Washington Compost ^ | Feb 14, 2020 | Michael Brice-Saddler

Thirty-nine elected prosecutors in a joint statement condemned Attorney General William P. Barr for recent his rhetoric that attacked progressive policies, arguing that his “dangerous and failed” approach to criminal justice disproportionately punished poor people and racial minorities while diverting resources away from more serious crimes

“Sadly, we are perceived as a threat by some who are wedded to the status quo or, even worse, failed policies of past decades,” the 39 state, county and city prosecutors wrote. “Critics such as Attorney General William P. Barr seek to bring us back to a time when crime was high, success was measured by how harsh the punishment was, and a fear-driven narrative prevailed.”....

“My fellow reform-minded prosecutors and I don’t resort to fear, we deal in facts,” John Choi, chief prosecutor in Ramsey County, Minn., said in a statement. “For too long, we’ve seen individuals locked up for offenses that amount to the criminalization of drug use, mental illness and simply being poor. This has not made us any safer, but has instead, time and time again, resulted in the fracturing of families, intergenerational cycles of incarceration, a destabilization of communities and a growing distrust of law enforcement."

Wonder how many of these "prosecutors" have a D next to their political affiliation?

Not really, just stating the obvious.

Some of these districts have stopped prosecuting proper for crimes that are under 1000 dollars in theft. And many no longer prosecute shoplifting and prostitution. The result is, crime is “down” in those districts because it is no longer reported or recorded. Progressive means there are no longer consequences to the petty crimes. Eventually these people will commit bigger crimes. That is progression. And that is progressive crime under progressive leadership. Crime progresses when you no longer punish for it

First a letter signed by XX deep state prosecutors, then a PBS national poll showing 64% disagree with Trump about XX, followed by hearings by Jerry Nadler in the House Fascist Committee about XX, ending in Trump’s approval rating going up by 5%.

I don’t understand. Barr’s CYA interview was supposed to show he was “independent”? What happened? Unsurprisingly, Democrats are carrying on like it never happened.

When those prosecutors offer to help convict Hillary, Dorkbama, and a sizeable percentage of FBI and IRS leadership, give us a call.
