Last week I came out as a 2016 supporter of Hillary Clinton - and a 2020 supporter of Bernie Sanders.
Four years ago, I was excited about electing a woman president. I admired Secretary Clintons experience, and I thought she was the unbeatable candidate in the race. While I loved what Bernie was saying, I found it hard to believe at the time that he could get elected. He seemed almost too good to be true.
But hindsight is 2020. Donald Trump won for a number of reasons we all can name - from the Russians to James Comey to the Clinton baggage to misogyny to a lack of a Democratic ground campaign in battleground states.
Four years later, the world looks very different, in part because of the damage and division Trump has wreaked on our country. But thats not all that has changed; what once seemed like Bernies pipe dream is now within grasp.
Bernie is speaking to the core issues that matter to the vast majority of Americans on the left, on the right and to people who have no use for politics.
We need to stop worrying about finding a centrist candidate who checks all the boxes or seems the most traditionally electable. Instead of voting based on what we think other Americans will like - something that Democrats are not very good at, given our history with electable nominees such as John Kerry and Clinton - we should vote for who we believe in.
We are all desperately worried about finding the candidate who can take out Trump, and some keep making the argument that we must compromise our values and needs to achieve that. Ive got good news: With Bernie Sanders, we dont have to.

I wonder if this crazy lesbo would be OK with the Govt taking 90 percent of her wealth..just asking
Translation: Blacks don’t matter and don’t count.
Crazy Bernie doesn’t want 90% of her wealth he wants ALL of it.
As an American who loves my country let me say I could not agree with you more. Let’s have Comrade Bernie try to sell his special brand of poison to voters across the fruited plains. Yes bring it, please.
“I still live in an alternate reality.”
Cynthia Cynthia you ignorant slu*. Typical NBC joke
She “needs” all her money—and 90% of our money as well!
Some pigs are more equal than others.
That is the “values” she is talking about....
Yeah, he’s the “You Nutty” candidate!..............
Time to buy stock in Kleenex...
Also... you will vote how we tell you and like it.
Hollyweird and the Antifa wing are going to “feel the burn” when the Angry Berd is purged, and wimps out after being bought off under the table, version 2.0. The revenge of the swamp and DNC against those that dared to challenge their order or place in it is coming soon.
I hope Crazy Bernie lives long enough to be the candidate Democrats vote for on 11/4/2020.
Sanders/Warren would be my bet. That would cover the looney left (youngsters) and the women.
She would be better off if she moved to France or Russia if she likes a socialist government. China wouldn’t work for her....firt time she opened her pie hole, they would be harvesting her organs to the highest bidder.
I hope Bernie “wins” by plurality and then gets screwed in a brokered convention.
Further idiocy from CynthiaIdiot.........try 2024, gg, kkthx.
Bernie will help finish off the Democratic Party. Of course, they all will.
I think President Trump should come out and say “Ok for all the celebrities who love socialism I got a present for you, I am going to enact socialism right now..every single celebrity, including Cher, Rosie O’Donnell, Judd Apalow, etc etc etc, they all have to give up 100 percent of their yearly earnings to the federal govt to be passed around to poor communities” watch how these same celebrities react
[I hope Crazy Bernie lives long enough to be the candidate Democrats vote for on 11/4/2020.]
Same here. Should be an easy win for President Trump.
