Which, as Rush said today, proves that it's a Chinese Flu and should be called the Wuhan Flu. Everything else is hype to hurt the POTUS.

We should send Red China a bill for our economic losses. Kinda like the Boxer Rebellion indemnity of the first years of the 20th century

DoughtyOne,

In 2019 Bubonic Plague is only known to have killed two people. You think it’s no big deal and that the Mongolian government and WHO ‘over reacted’ by acting promptly to contain it?

After all more people were killed by the flu in 2019, right?

Thanks, but I pretty much have given up on FR, as far as CV is concerned.

It’s a lost cause.

Such an incredibly advanced high tech locale and they don’t have e-learning? Is that because there’s no snow days?

Ha! We live just outside of Seattle and we have had 4 this year. I think it was 10 or 11 last year. My son is a senior this year so he doesn't care how many days they tack on at the end of the year ... graduation will not move.

Every school, city and business goes by:
will we be sued for more total money in lawsuits staying open while someone gets sick and dies than we lose in profits by closing up, and by the way some people will die but let’s forget that element.

I can’t believe the morons are staying open. I mean, I applaud the decision for other reasons. But good.

There is a simple educational solution. Florida offers an internet Public school synchronized providing the same course [plus additional courses] of the ‘brick & mortar’ schools.

This public virtual school has one major difference: students experience the attention of a private tutor teachers are accessible for students per messaging, email, texting or phone.

I’m sure FL currently offers their internet public school globally & would probably negotiate to increasing service with other states for temporary coronavirus situation.
FLVS Global School

I just used that quote four weeks ago as I was wiping down tables at church. (I think they thought I was a bit nuts! Not for the quote - the cleaning.)

Here is part of what they said for the kids in our district just east of Seattle (they are still open too):

If you have fever, cough or shortness of breath and have not been around anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, you should contact your healthcare provider for guidance. Public Health currently recommends that people with these symptoms should stay home and away from others until 72 hours after the fever is gone and symptoms get better. This is without the assistance of fever-reducing medication.

1) How the heck are you going to know if you’ve “been around” anyone with CV?

2) No fever-reducing medication?

“Mom - I’m burning up! Can’t you just give me the XYZ?”

“Oh be quiet - here’s another cold washcloth!”

BTW - what is a fever-reducing medicine?

“To quote my wife, an RN: “ Coronavirus hysteria has now started. Lakota is doing at home online learning Friday instead attending school.””

My daughter is also an RN and can’t believe how nuts folks are over this...and if it spreads, she’s likely to be on the front lines - should give us some perspective when the day-to-day healthcare professionals aren’t panicking.

Never would have been a thought a few years ago but having watched the left and knowing Seattle is home of RESIST & let Antifa run wild, I wouldn’t put anything past them.
