He really should but he also knows deep state will be working over time to cause a domestic terror attack that they could pin on him for canceling FISA. He should take solace in the fact that they would blame the attack on him regardless of what he does.

We need to get rid of the secret court. After, if there’s ever a real need, a normal constitutional court can still go in camera (private review, say if a spy’s identity were at stake ) — but certainly an entire court’s operations should not be hidden from public view and scrutiny!

FISA is the Deep State’s noose around the necks of all Americans.
I'm pretty sure that idea will be a hot topic in those deep state offices. We found out later that every terrorist over the years was being "monitored" and yet..
So right. Many if not all were known wolfs. I mean you can still get wire taps the old fashioned way if law enforcement needs them. The FISA is a weapon used against The American people to short circuit our democracy by blackmailing politicians, spying on anyone for any reason, launching coups etc. It was heavily used by Obama to foist his horrible policies on America.
If needed to prevent an override to his veto, then Trump can veto it and signal that he’s open to a short term re-authorization to continue until the expected timing of the results of the Durham probe, after which everyone can then decide on whether the program should continue based on whether or not those who abused the program have been held accountable.
A veto would be sustained. Takes 290 votes to override in the House and the FISA bill got 278 votes.
HOORAY Chief.
