For 30 years, politicians in BOTH parties have been selling us out.
Remember this, and we NEED to wean ourselves off off China.
Completely.

The man is brilliant and has a great deal of foresight.

Previous administrations allowed China to have this leverage over US by allowing American drug manufactures produce the drugs there. Lower labor costs.
Time for that Marshall Plan to build, rebuild, retool and get Big Pharma production back on American soil...
But the mockingbirds will lamely attempt to spin it as somehow being President Trump's fault for trying to correct it.
It wasn’t free trade that got us into this, crony capitalism. Real free trade means both sides do the right thing, not just one side. And we have always been on the wrong side of those trade deals.
Ok Congress, here’s a law I can at least stomach if not exactly like: If you want to sell drugs in the USA, you have to produce a minimum of 50% of the stock within the territories of the United States.
It should also define a surge capacity to 75% for a minimum of 180 days.
Lower labor, lower tax, lower regulatory. Lower everything.
But that can be addressed.
And not just to the benefit of Big Pharma.
These are changes that can help make all of America great again.
Who cares? They could have melamine in them. We should make them here.
But it also is the public who keeps demanding that every drug they happen to need be dirt cheap.
The drugs which are saving lives now took “billions” of dollars and “millions” of man-hours to produce. And that isn’t cheap.
If we want cutting edge drugs which solve real problems and diseases, we will need to pay for it.
Or buy cheap Chinese drugs from rip off artists.
The Prez said he was already addressing this early in his presidency.
Tell the ChiComs to enjoy their 300% across the board tariffs.
