What a news event. The dying print media is laying off people, and they are blaming Chinavirus. Fake news, but they been lying forever.

I certainly hope you aren’t subscribing to a newspaper that you put directly into the trash.

A way to distribute true facts is essential in a crisis. Unfortunately for the newspapers, they aren’t in the true- fact-distribution business. Soon, they will be in no business whatsoever, and nary a tear shall be shed over that.

That’s what they deserve, whether it happens or not.

Some of you might remember the Pittsburgh Press, which was a Scripps paper IIRC (correct me) and failed to survive the early '90s strike by Press and P-G deliverymen.

What was the Pittsburgh Press's political leaning?

I’m afraid a lot of businesses will not make it through this.

These folks have been out in front ginning up the hysteria here in Louisiana.

A challenging time for The Times-Picayune, and for Louisiana

As a result, we have been forced to turn to some cost savings. This week, we will be temporarily furloughing about a tenth of our 400-member workforce, and the rest of us will begin four-day workweeks. Our newsroom, with about 120 employees, is the largest in Louisiana, and the furloughs will chiefly impact people who cover sports and social events, which have been curtailed.

Newspapers spread the anti-America virus.

Exactly Jim. The Globalists are pitching to eliminate cash because it spreads germs and viruses.

Therefore, all print newspapers should likewise be shut down (which is obviously not the narrative they want people to adopt).
