I know people want to believe this, but this is false. Fauci has said publicly for at least month, and when testifying before congress, he does not trust models. He uses the example of the doomsday predictions of the Ebola models in particular why models are usually wrong.
The issue for shutdowns and isolation was what was happening in China and Italy. No one needed a model to see they were hard hit and drastic measures were needed to slow the spread.
There is no way he is going to explain to the President the models are wrong, then use those models to justify a shutdown. This does not make sense.
The conservative press is treating Fauci as bad as the mainstream media treats the press. That is a disservice to their audience.
