For the second or third time or maybe even fourth, the media REFUSES to acknowledge sexual behavior that is risky will weaken an immune system.
The man who tragically died may very well have done so because he was part of an at risk population. Media won't even acknowledge the fact.

The key word in your comment is “may.” There are multiple ways the deputy could have contracted this disease, and we do not know the state of his immune system. Without direct access to his medical records it is just speculation.
No Police Chief with an ounce of professionalism should be speculating about how a deputy in another organization contracted a disease. He has a department to run, his job is to keep his own department operational while mitigating risk to his officers.
I can’t understand why he would bring up his personal speculation into an official briefing. Unless he had first had knowledge or had received an official report on how the Broward County Deputy contracted the Wuhan virus, why would he bring it up?

I have been looking high and low for that information and can't find it.
We do know that about 20% of gay men living in urban areas are HIV positive.
What we don't know is the coincidence of serious COVID-19 infections and HIV, and whether or not the antiviral medications that are routinely taken for HIV are protective for COVID-19.
That seems like it might be important information.

It appears from multiple discussions and reports that the COVID attack rate among persons diagnosed with HIV and taking antivirals regularly is lower than the attack rate in the general population.
