Have not heard of ONE case where someone with lupus got coronavirus..my aunt’s niece has had lupus for 20 yrs, she is taking hydroxy, she has 4 boys, zero issues with the drug, in fact I think its protecting her from getting it

But you are correct, as far as we know, those taking hydroxychloroquine, or perhaps chloroquine, for lupus have not been infected with Covid-19. 8>)

I wouldn’t know, but I don’t believe they take HCQ on a continuing basis, like they do for lupus, when fighting malaria. So just a wild guess that it probably keeps those currently fighting malaria from contracting Covid-19. But perhaps not those that used it to fight their malaria from years past. 8>)

If the drug is recommended by their doctor, not just offered as an option, and the patient is getting worse, they’ll take it.
