I am originally from Connecticut, and caught it in Hampton, which is about 25 miles from Lyme itself, and heavily wooded.

I remember when this was starting to hit big in the late 80s, and one mother of a friend of mine would not be prescribed the antibiotics (she was in Wallingford) because he thought this was a fad diagnosis. She wound up with permanent damage thanks to this doctor's hubris. I had a nice fat bullseye rash, and sudden intermittent, but common symptoms, making diagnosis easy.

Lyme’s Disease is another one with big pharma and a savior vaccine ploy playing out, including the board that recommends/limits treatments by doctors (like successful long and deep antibiotics, but 2-week limit kills that).
